Access, working hours and building rules

We ask about access and building rules during the request because they change the plan, not because they are a formality: which staircase or lift the crew uses, whether the materials can be carried in through the door and up the stairs at all, where a van can stop and unload, and the hours within which your building allows noisy work.

Three things are needed before the first morning: a window in which somebody can let us in, a way in when you are not there — a key, a concierge, someone nearby — and the building manager's rules if there are any. If the lift has to be booked or the management notified, tell us who does that and how long it takes, so it can be counted into the programme rather than discovered on site.

Tell us early. A rule discovered on the first morning costs a day; the same rule known in advance costs nothing. It is not only about time: under our terms, for the work to be carried out we need reasonable access to the property at the agreed time and accurate information about its condition — delays or inaccuracies can change the timeline or the price, and in that case we tell you before we go on, not afterwards.

The crew on the phone and on WhatsApp works Monday–Saturday, 08:00–20:00. The working hours at your property are not necessarily the same: we set those to your building's rules and write them into the dated schedule you get when the scope is agreed, so you know which trade is in the property on which day — and which days nobody comes.

If there are children or pets in the house, or if you work from home, put it in the final note on the request so we can take it into account when we plan the noisy and dusty work.

The project address is shared only with the professionals assigned to your request. It is not published, and it is not given to tradespeople who are not on your job.

AlbNova works across the whole of Albania and has no site of its own: the only site we work on is yours. So everything that makes that property easy or hard to get into feeds straight into the timeline, and that is why the access questions come so early in the request.

If the first morning shows that the access will not allow what was planned — a bath that will not go up the stairs, for instance — we stop before anything is torn out, show you the options with the price of each, and only go on once you have chosen.
