Falwa: from bare blockwork to polished marbleTiling, walls and floors
Wall and floor tiling: levelling, waterproofing, cutting, laying, grouting and sealing. Ceramic, porcelain and marble, measured and quoted first.
A site visit, then a written quote.

Tiling done well is never noticed; tiling done badly always is — in the joint that misses the corner, the tile that clicks underfoot, the silicone that goes black in six months. The real work happens before the first tile: levelling the surface, waterproofing wherever water reaches, and setting out the pattern so the cuts do not land in the middle of the wall.
What is included
- Taking off the old surface and preparing the substrate
- Levelling, or a self-levelling compound where the floor needs it
- Waterproofing in showers, bathrooms and balconies, before laying
- Setting out, the cuts and the corner profiles
- Grouting, and silicone at the internal corners and junctions
- Final clean and handover of the finished surface
What is not included, or is done as needed
- Repairing a substrate with structural cracks, which is looked at separately first
- Underfloor heating, as needed and as its own line in the offer
- The tiles themselves, where you buy them
What it costs
We do not price from a desk. We come and measure on site, and after that you get a written quote with labour, materials and VAT set out separately.
How we work
See the whole processFill in the request or ring us. To get started we only need the address, the room and what you have in mind.
We come to the property, take the measurements and set the scope of work: the state of the walls, the services and the floor. We do not price a job we have not seen.
The offer separates labour, materials and VAT where it applies, with the deposit to start and the lead time. Every revision is kept as a new version, so the history stays.
The crew arrives with one lead answerable for the work. We source the materials and check them before anything starts.
We walk the quality checklist with you, put right anything on it, and the work we have done is covered by our guarantee.
Questions we are asked
Do the old tiles always have to come off?
Not always. Over a sound, flat, well-bonded surface we can tile straight on, which saves days and dust. If the old tiles are drummy or there is water behind them they come off — otherwise the problem stays, just covered up.
How high does the waterproofing go in a shower?
The floor, the corners, and the shower walls to above the height of the shower head. It goes on before the tiles and is tested; once tiled there is no way to check it without taking it apart.
How much material should be ordered?
The area plus an allowance for cuts and breakage, usually around ten per cent, more for a diagonal pattern or large-format tiles. We work out the quantity during the measurement and it is written into the offer.
Do you work in marble and large-format porcelain?
Yes. Both need a flatter substrate, different cutting kit and more hands per tile, so the time and the price differ from ordinary ceramic. That is said in the offer, not at the end.
