Architectural planning

Technical drawings for the work itself: the existing state, the proposal, sections, and the details the crew needs on site. The scope of work and the quote both come out of these drawings, so the two describe one project.

A site visit, then a written quote.

Architectural planning

When a crew works without drawings, decisions get made on site with a tape measure in hand: the socket ends up behind the wardrobe, the door swings into the radiator, and every unclear question turns into a delay or a job done twice. Architectural planning gives the work a technical plan: the existing state, the proposal, sections, and the details the crew needs. The scope of work and the quote both come from these drawings, so they describe the same project — whether it is an apartment or a whole house. We do it in Tirana, Elbasan, Vlorë and anywhere in Albania.

What is included

  • A survey of the existing state: measurements, walls, openings and services
  • The proposal plan, with new walls, openings and the position of fixtures
  • Sections showing heights, ceilings and floor levels
  • The details the crew needs on site: kitchen, bathroom, niches, suspended ceilings
  • Sockets, lighting and water points marked on the plan
  • A scope of work and a quote that come from the same drawings

What is not included, or is done as needed

  • Structural calculations for load-bearing walls, done by an engineer, as needed and as their own line in the quote
  • Choosing materials and finishes, which the interior design consultation covers

What it costs

We do not price from a desk. We come and measure on site, and after that you get a written quote with labour, materials and VAT set out separately.

What we will need from you

These are the papers this work usually needs. They are not a condition of starting — we say so up front so the work does not stop halfway.

  • Work agreementScope, price and dates, signed before the crew starts.
  • Access consentWritten permission to enter, from whoever holds the property — a tenant is not always the owner.
  • Photo and publication consentWhether we may use before/after photos of this property in our own materials. Refusing changes nothing else.
  • Handover sign-offSigned at the end: the work is done and you have seen it.
  1. Fill in the request or ring us. To get started we only need the address, the room and what you have in mind.

  2. We come to the property, take the measurements and set the scope of work: the state of the walls, the services and the floor. We do not price a job we have not seen.

  3. The offer separates labour, materials and VAT where it applies, with the deposit to start and the lead time. Every revision is kept as a new version, so the history stays.

  4. The crew arrives with one lead answerable for the work. We source the materials and check them before anything starts.

  5. We walk the quality checklist with you, put right anything on it, and the work we have done is covered by our guarantee.

Questions we are asked

Why do I need technical drawings to renovate an apartment?

Because a quote is only as accurate as the drawings it comes from. With drawings, every line of the quote ties back to something drawn, the crew is not guessing, and you see the result before work starts. Without them, questions get settled on site, where every change costs more.

What do I get at the end?

The existing-state plan, the proposal plan, the sections and the details the crew needs — the same drawings the scope of work and the quote are written from.

Is this the same as the house design an architect prepares for a permit?

Not necessarily. These are working drawings for the renovation: they tell the crew exactly what to build. If the work needs a permit, the paperwork for it is a separate matter and is settled before work starts.

What if I change my mind once the drawings are done?

It happens, and it is better that it happens on paper. Before work starts, the drawings are updated. If the change comes after the quote has been accepted, it is written up as a new version of the quote and work carries on only once you accept it.

Shall we start?

Tell us about the room and what you have in mind. We come and measure, and come back with a written quote.
