Design and consultation services
Four of our services sell drawing and advice rather than site work: architectural planning, interior design consultation, layout consultation and a room review. They are priced per session or per review rather than by area, and each one's lead time is stated on its own page under Services.
Architectural planning — technical drawings for the work itself: the existing state, the proposal, sections, and the details the crew needs on site. The scope of work and the quote both come out of these drawings, so the two describe one project.
Interior design consultation — a working session with an interior specialist on materials, colours, lighting and finishes: what goes together, what is easy to live with, and what each choice costs. You leave with a materials list that goes straight into the quote.
Layout consultation — guidance before anything is knocked down: where the rooms go, how light and people move through them, what the structure allows. You get two or three drawn options to compare at your own pace.
Room review — one room looked at on site: measurements, the state of the walls, floor and services, and what can realistically be done within the budget you have. It closes with a written summary and no obligation to go further.
Which to choose: if you still do not know what the space should become, start with the room review or the layout consultation. If the work is settled and it is the material choices that have stalled, take the interior consultation. If the work touches the structure or the services, you need architectural planning.
You can book one on its own — you do not have to commit to the building work to get the plan, and the drawings or the written summary stay yours. If you do go on to have us do the work, what was agreed in the consultation carries straight into the project scope rather than being started again.
Request one the same way as any other service, from the Services page. Have ready photos of the space as it is today, the flat's floor plan if you have one, rough measurements, and the budget range you have in mind: without a budget every proposal is guesswork, and the session goes on establishing it.
