HVAC technician

Air conditioning, heat pumps and ventilation: sizing the unit to the room, mounting it, gas lines and condensate drainage, plus scheduled servicing. We choose where the unit goes together, so cold air is not blowing across the bed.

A site visit, then a written quote.

HVAC technician

A badly fitted air conditioner costs more to run and cools less: a unit too big for the room switches on and off all day, a refrigerant line joined in a hurry loses gas within a summer, and the condensate drips onto the neighbour's balcony or into the wall. Air-conditioning installation means a capacity sized to the room, an indoor unit placed so the cold air does not fall on the bed, a securely fixed outdoor unit, and refrigerant lines and drainage done properly. We also fit heat pumps and ventilation and carry out periodic maintenance, in Tirana, Durrës, Vlorë, Shkodër, Fier and across Albania.

What is included

  • Sizing the capacity to the room's size, orientation and insulation
  • The position of the indoor and outdoor units, chosen together with you
  • Fitting the units, with solid brackets for the outdoor unit
  • Refrigerant lines, leak-tested before the system is switched on
  • Condensate drainage to a proper outlet, not down the facade
  • Heat pumps for heating and cooling, which can also feed underfloor heating
  • Ventilation and periodic maintenance: cleaning filters and units, checking the gas and the drainage

What is not included, or is done as needed

  • The underfloor heating pipework itself, as needed and as its own line in the quote
  • Gas, oil or pellet boilers, which are not part of this service
  • A dedicated electrical circuit from the panel, where the unit needs one, as needed and as its own line in the quote

What it costs

We do not price from a desk. We come and measure on site, and after that you get a written quote with labour, materials and VAT set out separately.

What we will need from you

These are the papers this work usually needs. They are not a condition of starting — we say so up front so the work does not stop halfway.

  • Work agreementScope, price and dates, signed before the crew starts.
  • Access consentWritten permission to enter, from whoever holds the property — a tenant is not always the owner.
  • Photo and publication consentWhether we may use before/after photos of this property in our own materials. Refusing changes nothing else.
  • Handover sign-offSigned at the end: the work is done and you have seen it.
  • Commissioning recordUnit, settings and readings at handover.
  1. Fill in the request or ring us. To get started we only need the address, the room and what you have in mind.

  2. We come to the property, take the measurements and set the scope of work: the state of the walls, the services and the floor. We do not price a job we have not seen.

  3. The offer separates labour, materials and VAT where it applies, with the deposit to start and the lead time. Every revision is kept as a new version, so the history stays.

  4. The crew arrives with one lead answerable for the work. We source the materials and check them before anything starts.

  5. We walk the quality checklist with you, put right anything on it, and the work we have done is covered by our guarantee.

Questions we are asked

What size of air conditioner does my room need?

It is not just the square metres. A south-facing room with big windows, or one on the top floor, needs more than the same room facing north. We work it out at the visit: a unit that is too big cycles on and off all day, one that is too small runs all day without reaching the temperature.

Will you install an air conditioner I bought myself?

Yes. Before fitting we check that its capacity suits the room and that the unit positions allow proper lines and drainage. Whether we supply the unit or you bought it is written into the quote.

A heat pump, or an air conditioner in every room?

It depends on the home. A heat pump is a whole-home solution and can also feed underfloor heating; separate air conditioners are simpler when only one or two rooms need it. At the visit we look at the insulation, the floor area and where the outdoor unit could go, and tell you what makes sense.

How often does an air conditioner need servicing?

The indoor unit's filters need cleaning often during the season, and you can do that yourself. A full service — cleaning the units, checking the gas and the drainage — usually once a year, before the season you use it most.

Shall we start?

Tell us about the room and what you have in mind. We come and measure, and come back with a written quote.
