A new floor rarely fails because of the boards; it fails because of what is underneath. An uneven base makes laminate creak and the joints open up, and moisture rising from the concrete swells a wooden floor within a season. So before the first pack is opened, we check the moisture and the level of the subfloor. Then comes the fitting: measuring, cutting, laying the parquet, laminate or vinyl, the skirting and the thresholds between rooms. We fit parquet and laminate floors in Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan and anywhere in Albania.

We do not price from a desk. We come and measure on site, and after that you get a written quote with labour, materials and VAT set out separately.

The offer separates labour, materials and VAT where it applies, with the deposit to start and the lead time. Every revision is kept as a new version, so the history stays.
The crew arrives with one lead answerable for the work. We source the materials and check them before anything starts.
We walk the quality checklist with you, put right anything on it, and the work we have done is covered by our guarantee.

Questions we are asked

Can laminate go over the old tiles?

Often yes, if the tiles are sound, flat and dry underneath. The added height has to be checked, because the doors may need trimming. We look at this at the visit, before the quote.

Parquet, laminate or vinyl?

Parquet is real wood: warm underfoot and it can be sanded again years later, but it does not like water. Laminate imitates wood and stands up well to scratches. Vinyl copes with moisture better than either, so it also works in a kitchen or in the hallway by the bathroom.

Why check moisture before laying a wooden floor?

Because a concrete base can look dry and still hold water inside. Parquet and laminate absorb that moisture, swell and lift at the joints. We measure before we start; if it is still damp, we wait — a beautiful floor on a damp base does not last.

Does the flooring need to sit in the home before fitting?

Yes. The packs are opened in the room where they will go and left to adjust to its temperature and humidity, for as long as the manufacturer specifies. When we supply the material, that goes into the schedule.
