Painting

Interior painting with the preparation that makes it last: floors and furniture covered, holes filled, primer and two coats. Colours are confirmed with a sample on your own wall, in that room's light, before anything is bought.

A site visit, then a written quote.

Painting

Interior painting looks simple until the paint blisters over a damp patch, the roller marks show in the evening light, or the colour picked from a chart turns out quite different on the bedroom wall. A good painter spends more time preparing than painting: covering the floor and the furniture, filling holes and cracks, priming so the paint takes, and only then two full coats. Whether it is one room or a whole apartment, the crew comes to your town — Tirana, Durrës, Shkodër or anywhere else in Albania.

What is included

  • Covering and protecting the floors, doors and furniture
  • Filling holes, small cracks and corners, then sanding
  • A primer to suit the wall: new plaster, previously painted, or stained
  • A colour sample on your own wall, in that room's light, before the paint is bought
  • Two coats on walls and ceiling, with clean lines at the corners and skirting
  • Bedrooms, hallways, kitchen and bathroom, with moisture-resistant paint where it is needed
  • Taking the covers up, a clean, and a final walk-round with you

What is not included, or is done as needed

  • Painting the facade or any exterior walls
  • Replastering badly damaged walls, as needed and as its own line in the quote
  • The source of any damp — a leaking pipe, a terrace letting water in — which has to be fixed before painting

What it costs

We do not price from a desk. We come and measure on site, and after that you get a written quote with labour, materials and VAT set out separately.

What we will need from you

These are the papers this work usually needs. They are not a condition of starting — we say so up front so the work does not stop halfway.

  • Work agreementScope, price and dates, signed before the crew starts.
  • Access consentWritten permission to enter, from whoever holds the property — a tenant is not always the owner.
  • Photo and publication consentWhether we may use before/after photos of this property in our own materials. Refusing changes nothing else.
  • Handover sign-offSigned at the end: the work is done and you have seen it.
  1. Fill in the request or ring us. To get started we only need the address, the room and what you have in mind.

  2. We come to the property, take the measurements and set the scope of work: the state of the walls, the services and the floor. We do not price a job we have not seen.

  3. The offer separates labour, materials and VAT where it applies, with the deposit to start and the lead time. Every revision is kept as a new version, so the history stays.

  4. The crew arrives with one lead answerable for the work. We source the materials and check them before anything starts.

  5. We walk the quality checklist with you, put right anything on it, and the work we have done is covered by our guarantee.

Questions we are asked

How long does a painter need for a whole apartment?

One room usually takes a few days, because the filler, the primer and each coat have to dry before the next step. For a whole apartment it depends on how much repair the walls need and whether the home is empty or lived in. We see it at the visit and write it into the quote.

Do I have to empty the home before painting?

Not necessarily. We gather the large furniture in the middle of the room and cover it; small things, pictures and curtains are best taken down by you beforehand. In a lived-in home we work room by room, so you always have somewhere to be.

How do I pick a colour that will not look different on the wall?

With a sample on your own wall. The same colour changes with the room's light, the direction of the window and the colour of the floor. We paint a test patch, you look at it in the morning and in the evening, and the paint is bought only once you confirm it.

Who buys the paint?

Whichever suits you. Either we supply it in the colour and type agreed, or you buy it and we give you the quantity after measuring. Which one applies is written into the quote before work starts.

Shall we start?

Tell us about the room and what you have in mind. We come and measure, and come back with a written quote.
