Villa 49, Nareel Island: marble, glass and brass over the water

A waterfront villa, complete and fully furnished, looking across the water to the Etihad Towers. These are not site photographs: this is the finished house, dressed and shot for presentation.
The interiors are built almost entirely in book-matched statuario-look marble, on walls and floors alike. The staircase is curved in glass and polished brass, and wraps a panoramic lift with a round glass car in brass and dark walnut.
Arched marble openings form a colonnade-like corridor with wall sconces and topiary. A large sculpture of gold ribbon and glass hangs through the double-height stairwell. Outside, a dark timber louvred pergola shelters a lounge set and a hanging chair on the seafront terrace.
One note for the archive: a group of images filed under the Azurra project belong to this same villa — they must not be published as two different houses.
