I-Tower Marriott, Sofia: rooms and suites before dressing

A hospitality job outside the Emirates: guestrooms and suites photographed at practical completion, before they were dressed. The floor is herringbone parquet; the headboard wall is timber in a diamond pattern; the curved white-lacquer joinery carries walnut tops.

The bathrooms are the strongest material story in the set: large-format porcelain in book-matched marble, black-framed glass shower and bath screens, wall-hung WCs, chrome ladder radiators and a slim stone vanity with an integrated basin.

The rooms still have bare mattresses, and one frame still has a stepladder in it. These photographs are evidence of build quality, not marketing images — and they should be read that way.
